Easy and Quick Ways to Learn How to Meditate

Meditation is an ancient art form that has been used in the Eastern cultures for thousands of years. Eastern philosophy believes meditation is used to expand your consciousness until you are at one with the cosmos as a whole. Meditation is about transcending the physical body and letting your emotions fade away so you are at one with the universe.

The practice of meditation will bring you closer to attunement with the purpose of existence. Additionally meditation incorporates many relaxation techniques, which have a positive effect on stress and stress-induced illnesses. When you learn to meditate you will find inner peace, satisfaction, happiness, contentment, and refreshment.  The mind will become lucid and more focused giving one a sense of calm.  Meditation can transform the mind from negative to positive, from disturbed to peaceful and from unhappy to happy.

Meditation has both metaphysical and positive health benefits.

Everyone has his or her own reasons to meditate. Whether it is to understand ones own mind, to answer the questions of ‘ who am I’ or ‘why I’m here’ or even to implement simple relaxation techniques. It is up to every individual person to decide on how they meditate. There are many different schools of thought to pick and choose from. You need to find the technique that best suits you.

There are general facets of meditation that transcends the bounds of all cultures. Meditation is not difficult. Create an ideal setting for your meditation session. You can meditate sitting, standing, lying down, in a chair or on the floor.

Make sure to have appropriate posture, with your back straight but not tense. Sit cross-legged or in the most comfortable position possible. Partially close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing. Breathe naturally through your nostrils. Clear your mind and focus on the sensation of breathing. Concentrate on the breathing and exclude all of your surroundings. This is the first step to learning how to meditate. Once you have mastered the art of breathing meditation you can move on to other steps or stages of meditation.

There are hundreds of meditation techniques each with its own purpose and objective. Choose the technique that best suits your needs. Different kinds of meditation include breathing meditation, analytical meditation, placement meditation, mindful meditation, spiritual meditation, focused meditation, mantra meditation and many, many more. Each has their own benefits both metaphysical and physical. Whatever you are trying to obtain will determine what type of meditation will be best for you.

Roger Hamilton and Nature Being At the Vanguard of the Art of Wealth Creation

One of the main things that ever have mattered in the lives of the people ever since they became civilized was the way they can make ends meet. And from there on they went to dream about living a life that would be a lot more comfortable. And once that dream was achieved he went on to dream about a life that was a lot more luxurious and free of any kind of financial dilemmas. And in order to make sure that these dreams were achieved he began to devise systems that would govern the entire system of financial operations. And something similar can be said about the present day system of finance that is governing the economies of majority of the countries of the world. And that is creating the financial problems of the world. And the solution lies with only one man named Roger Hamilton.

And the reason behind this is that the majority of the people who were at the helm of the affairs as far as the governing of the finances f the world is concerned missed out on one simple aspect.

And that simple aspect is that howsoever hard human being might try to ignore, condone, or simply try to create a system that is really and truly man-made without any trace of nature or any metaphysical power ingrained in it, he simply cannot get away from it. And that metaphysical thing is the great Nature itself that encompasses everything that can be seen in this thing called existence. And man is one of its finest creation and all the operations that he undertakes would definitely have the imprints or rather the soul of those operations would be the Nature itself. Roger Hamilton understood it, implemented it and then formulated it in the form of theories like wealth dynamics, wealth spectrum, and many other similar theories that expound upon the importance that nature demands.

And one of the most important things that is revealed in the theories propounded by this man Roger Hamilton is the benedictory aspect of mother nature when it is given the due importance in the operations carried out by the human being.

And one of the main things that Roger did was that he gave the prime importance to the role of nature in the art of wealth creation. He has made people realize that without the importance of nature being reflected strongly and that too at the vanguard, an individual would never really get to know the real worth of wealth and the real art of wealth creation

I was just wondering, im a fan of metaphysics, im only 14 less then a month 15, but sence the age of 10 or 11 i’ve doing research on metaphysics. One thing i have never found is how Metaphysics became to be “Metaphysics.” Where does the word metaphysics come from, and does anyone know who is best known for 1st presenting metaphysics? (Tk, OBE, telepathy, = metaphysics)

The Apollonian and Dionysian  Struggle Within the Human Personality

In Part Three, I presented the argumentation between the Nietzsche and Jungian points of view regarding the base creative instincts within the human personality. Both have value. Whichever viewpoint you ultimately buy into; remember, to create something, something else experiences destruction.

If you are a painter with a blank canvas and you apply a wash, you have destroyed that blank canvas. If you build a house, you excavate the earth, you have destroyed what once was. The same is true in the biology of the human realm. A man has sex with a woman and impregnates her; he has destroyed what was. The creation of  a new life results. With all of this said,  I want to discuss a possible solution to the conflict between control and the lack of control, aesthetics.

An aesthetic approach immediately converts the problem of uncontrolled raw emotional creation into a picture which a viewer can contemplate at his ease—merely experiencing its passions at a safe distance—with no danger of becoming involved.

Consequently, the aesthetic attitude guards against any real participation, preventing one from any personal implication. This issue of involvement or action is one of the major problems facing the Romantics of the late 1700′s and the early 1800′s.

Carl Jung concedes Nietzsche has an inkling of the real solution to artistic control especially when the antagonism between the Apollonian and Dionysian creative forces in man are not bridgeable by art, but by what he calls a ‘metaphysical miracle’. That miracle is the Hellenic will. Nietzsche most likely means the metaphysical will as espoused by the Ancient Greeks.

Jung, however, suggests we should replace the word metaphysical with the word unconscious— thus, the desired key to the problem of the Apollonian and Dionysian conflict would be an unconscious miracle. He is critical of the choice of miracle claiming it to be irrational. In this case, it is “an act of an unconscious and irrational happening, shaping itself without the assistance of reason and conscious purpose.”

The real key to understanding here is the word act. Despite what Jung claims regarding an ‘unconscious irrational happening’, the word act implies decision; something that is deliberate. In other words, there is a choice. Creation then, is a deliberate and controlled act despite the apparent abandon of such decision processes by artists of the Jackson Pollack ilk.

In Nietzsche, the description implies an unfolding, a streaming outward and upwards, a Dionysian expansion. It is a flood of overpowering universal feelings bursting forth and totally intoxicating one’s senses. Others might call this ecstasy, but not as shown in Bernini’s The Ecstasy of Saint Theresa. While in this state, Jung claims the psychological function of sensation participates at the highest degree. From a psychological perspective, this is a complete extroversion of all the feelings bound up with sensation. In the Dionysian, these feelings have the archaic character of wild abandonment.

In the next article, I will complete the discussion of the two realms of the creative impulse. Neither is superior to the other, nor is there implication that one produces greater creative works. The purpose here has been to bring about an understanding of the two creative forces that contend for artistic dominance in the human personality.

Parapsychology in China

Paranormal research has dwindled down to about a handful of any serious work here in the United States and likely so because of lack of Government funding since the 1980′s. Those few laboratories in the West function through the private sector and pathetically under funded.

For most of us Paranormal Research continues to be a controversial science that we depend on to convince us that those curious functions of our mind that we call psychic are real.

China, on the other hand, takes the lead in being the only country in the world that has a nationally supported parapsychology research program. Chinese scientists have a variety of interest in moving objects with the mind such as evidence of psychokinesis displayed in the practice of Qigong. Known as China’s father of the missile, Qian Xuesen, a 97 year old missile and space scientist declared has declared paranormal research to be a top priority for the Nation.

Have no doubt that the rest of the world will take China’s lead and try to renew and improve the quality of research in parapsychology as business needs increase and the world population continues to evolve equally in their individual ESP function.

We are all in the process of shifting our focus from logical reason to relationships, mysticism, and metaphysics.

We are all aware that we can create different scenarios of destiny. We gravitate to life enhancing thought and attitude involuntarily. We have emerged from the New Age movement of the 1980′s from external information of experience to an inner awareness world view.

The reconciliation of scientific research and the paranormal data of parapsychology implies a more holistic and transcendental metaphysical state of thought.

This transformation of scientific study may produce an organization of rational thought to the study of an entity without a physical structure created from an exceptional manifestation of humankind.

Question by Logan: Is there a university where I can major in metaphysics?
I like studying spiritual concepts and things like astrology. The only “traditional fields” I like are Visual Arts and Writing. I like Transcendental Psychology and Transcendentalism, but that’s not practical.

I’m for the most part not interested in college as a means for a job, but my mom is forcing me to go so can you help me find a college that offers non traditional programs.

*not like “school of baptists” or university of spirituality”. Those are obviously fake.*

None really, metaphysics is a branch of philosophy, so majoring in philosophy would probably be your best route.

Reiki Master & Spiritual Holistic Health Programs

Reiki is a big thing in our new modern society, but this has been around since 1920. Back then it was not common to perform distant attunements or healings, so you had to rely on who you knew and what was close to where you lived. Unfortunately this made Reiki not a common thing, but more of a specialty in healing. Reiki should be available to anyone and everyone who wants to use this, and not be determined by your income or location.

A lot of alternative, metaphysical, spiritual, or holistic programs include Reiki as part of their instruction. This is a big thing in this line of work because dealing with alternative, metaphysical, spiritual, and holistic healings the majority of then will come back to learning how to use energy.

Take for example, an animal communication program. If you want to learn how to communicate with animals, it is beneficial to know how to work with energy as well.

Reason for this is because everything is tied back to its beginning and as you may already know everything in this world is made of energy. So if you want to learn how to relate and understand animals, you must know how you are going to connect with them. Working with meditation, relaxation and communication deals with energy as well. Being a Reiki Master is only a benefit to those who are studying in an alternative, metaphysical, spiritual or holistic program.

Another example would be taking a crystal-healing program. To charge a crystal, you can use your Reiki energy, as well as cleansing, programming and enhancing the crystals own vibrational energies. So why not be attuned to a Reiki Master as well, it only helps develop and enhance your own spiritual pathway in life.

Now just because you are attuned to a Reiki Master does not mean you have to go and try to heal everything you come in contact with.

Some of us are here to help and serve with this type of work and some of us are here to enhance our own spiritual pathway and connect with the vibrational level of others. We are not all on the same pathway in life, so remember when making your decisions, it is about you, your learning and spiritual growth!

Stay focused, grounded, protected and learn as much as you possibly can to heal yourself and develop your own spiritual pathway in life, being interconnected with the Universe and others!

meta meaning half. So presumably metaphysics is half physics and half something else. What is the other half?

Meta doesn’t mean half, unfortunately. I’m not sure if this is a hypothetical question as to IF meta meant half. Meta, in current philosophy, means self-referencing and also “Above”. Check out Godel, Escher, Bach if you have any doubts about what I’m stating.

The Unconscious Reason Why Most People Will Fail in Their Pursuit of True Happiness

The key to experiencing the success you are looking for in all areas of your life, including personal growth and conscious creation of reality, is an understanding of your motive.

You are not here to merely make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand. — Woodrow Wilson

A psychologist named Tim Kasser, along with a variety of other psychologists, has repeatedly done studies that show the direct correlation between aspirations and well-being. This is very important for us to be aware of, as many of our aspirations are unconscious, so only by becoming aware of them, can they be changed.

According to Kasser, there are two main types of goals/aspirations:

Extrinsic aspirations depend on contingent reaction of others and are typically engaged in as a means to an end.

This type of aspiration includes such things as money, fame, and image (appealing appearance).

Intrinsic aspirations are expressive of natural growth tendencies and are likely to satisfy basic psychological needs. This type of aspiration includes such things as growth, connectedness, and helpfulness.

Basically through a variety of controlled studies, psychologists have repeatedly shown that intrinsic aspirations are conclusively related to higher well-being. Whereas extrinsic aspirations are related to a lower well-being and happiness.

When you get down to the primary reason why anyone wants anything in life it is almost always because they think it will make them happy. All we truly want from life is happiness.

To obtain the happiness that mostly everyone seeks, it is key to focus on intrinsic aspirations.

People desire things like money, power, and fame (extrinsic aspirations) because they believe these things will make them happy. Based on scientific proof, we know it does not work like that. Those things are just a means to an end, which will result in a lower well-being for you in the long run. If you didn’t intuitively know this already, I strongly urge you to look up the results of Kasser’s research on extrinsic vs. intrinsic goals online.

Many people, especially in the western culture, are prone to seek extrinsic goals. We all know at a conscious level that money does not make you happy. But due to unconscious cultural influences we are basically programmed to seek material things like money as a means to happiness regardless of our conscious understanding.

This is mostly due to the mainstream media and other cultural outlets that program us to focus on extrinsic goals over intrinsic goals. Simply being aware of such an unconscious influence allows you to begin to shed your cultural programming so that you may experience the state of well-being that you desire.

Once you are aware of such unconscious influences you must exert your will to focus on intrinsic aspirations in achieving your spiritual growth. You must continue to work with the law of attraction and personal growth information but with a sole focus on intrinsic goals. This is the only way you will ever obtain your desired results. This goes without saying, but also be wary of metaphysical information that focuses on extrinsic values!

In the bigger picture, it will not be until humans offer the deepest respect for all of life, that humanity will know its highest, most noble self. Only when we focus on intrinsic goals like self-acceptance and our deep interconnectedness, will we know what true happiness is. The results of such a shift will profoundly impact all of earth.

All in all, this just comes down to basic metaphysics. Turn off your TV. Become aware of, and inactivate, limiting unconscious cultural influences. Make an effort to go within. Seek peace and love with yourself. Then, you must show that love and peace to all others (although it will come naturally once you have found it with yourself).

Obtaining happiness has always been that simple.

Answer by Michael M
I’m not sure if Kant had a different definition of the Copernican revolution, but after Kant, may people referred to Kant as the Copernican revolution. If true, comparison certainly puts Kant in the same rank as Plato and Socrates.

Due to Kan’ts explanations of the relationship between rationalism with empiricism, metaphysics wasn’t left any room. Metaphysics certainly didn’t die with Kant, but it didn’t appear to ring true for Kant.
