For example, I have on my website, and opportunity for average people, who might not even have a business of their own, to order Wholesale Pepper Sprays that they can peddle and re-sell for a Cash Profit in their town, as long as they are of legal age, are within the contiguous United States, and not in MA, MI, NY, or WI.

Nobody better tell me that they cannot be sold, because I do it all of the time, and that is how I know that it works. I can be getting gas, and see a gal at the next pump and say hello, and she says hello, and then I say “Pretty girl like you should be carrying a pepper spray.” Then she looks at me puzzled. Then I continue, “Yes, I got sick and tired of hearing about other girls sometimes having thugs steal their purses, or even worse, so I started selling these non-lethal, self-defense pepper sprays key chains.” Then I hold one up! Guess what happens?

They always ask, “How much are they?” Then I say, “ONLY 20 bucks…how many do you want?” They almost always buy one. I also do this at the bank, post office, grocery store…you name it! You can do it too, if you have some gumption and some guts! You could make a hundred dollars a day, in CASH if you really wanted to! Even more than that!

Or maybe you will want to start a website, or any one of a number of businesses that you can start and eventually make your life better. Yes ive seen the movie and read the book, i think its a good concept, it keeps people thinking positive, just what we need, and it provides people with hope in starting fresh……….. However, I think the concept of “law of attraction” is exaggrated…people want an easy way out of life…you know one of those “get everything but dont have to work for it” kinda like a diet pill……In reality to get anything in life you need a combination of hard work, dedication and positive thinking…you cant just sit at home thinking of cheques coming into your mail, you have to work…..and also the bad things that happen in life is not because your attracting it into your life…..victims of 911 did not attract tragedy in their lives…cancer patients did not attract cancer, humans did not bring upon any kind of disease just by having thoughts of disease, its nature…the list goes on and on……

I do think that a positive thing about it is that in The Secret – as I understand it – can give you a sense of being responsible for
your own destiny.

Although I do wonder if there isn’t a risk that some people might explane it in a way that they can become very focussed on
material things only.

How Can You Be That One in Every Million?

Have you ever had the sense of being immersed in flames or rose-colored clouds? And at the same time bathed in an emotion of joy, assurance, triumph and salvation? Or like a flash there has been presented to your consciousness a clear vision in outline of the meaning and drift of the universe? Did it take for seconds or hours and gradually pass away? Have you ever had a sense of immortality? The simple and elementary feeling which could be rather compared to the certainty of your distinct individuality than an intellectual conviction such as comes with the solution of a problem? Have you ever felt that the times when the fear of death had haunted you vanished without any reason, just simply disappeared? And the same happened to the sense of sin? And it was not that you escaped from sin, but you no longer have seen that there is any sin in the world from which to escape.

Have you ever had a sense of the suddenness, instantaneousness of the awakening? Was it like a dazzling flash of lightning in a dark night bringing the landscape had been hidden into clear view? Have you ever been told: Oh, your appearance have changed, you illuminate, to your personality charm have been added, you’ve gone through some kind of transfiguration?

If your answers to the most of the questions above are yes, you are the one in every million people who experienced the highest level of consciousness which human ever has possessed, at least as the Canadian psychologist Richard M. Bucke avers in his book titled “Cosmic Consciousness”.

If he is correct right now there are six thousand people on the Earth who could be connected to the spiritual dimension. But if we surmise that there are different kinds of connections between any individual and the spiritual realm, then Bucke’s assumption of the amount of people who have crossed the threshold and their mind and spirit are driven by the cosmic consciousness instead of self-consciousness is leastwise moderate.

A number of signs betoken that any human being could at least temporally and/or on the lowest level bond to the spiritual realm in the course of his or her life. (The people whom Bucke was talking about and the symptoms of their supernatural experiments mentioned above definitely have been attached to the spiritual realm on the most intensive level which human consciousness is susceptible.) And anyone can improve the capability to override self-consciousness and enter to the area of cosmic-consciousness. And why does one want to do that? What is the benefit doing that?

“When we shift our awareness from self-consciousness where fear, impossibility or feelings of separation reside to cosmic consciousness, which is in total harmony with the universe and where none of those feelings exist, then anything is possible” – stated Rhonda Byrne who is most famous for publishing the book “The Secret”. In the spiritual realm, in the presence of the Almighty we could receive godly impulses to improve our character. The biblical Spirit of the Lord and the Holy Spirit can be downloaded by anyone whom concede the moral impel to become a better person and ready to change his consciousness.

Imagine a world where all of the inhabitant do not even know what means the rancor, sorrow, uproar, intolerant, cruelty, badness, infidelity, roughness and self-indulgence because they are full of love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. There is no foolishness, ignorance, misguidance, powerlessness because the Spirit of grace, wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, knowledge and of the fear of the Lord rest upon them.

So how can we shift our awareness from self-consciousness to cosmic consciousness? How can we be that one in every million? Jesus says: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Oprah and Obama – it’s no Secret

The Obama endorsement may be good news for Oprah who always seems to need a cause and good news for Obama who needs all the help he can get. It is bad news for the rest of us including some liberals and Democrats.

Oprah psyches up her gushing adherents to the tune of 8.4 million viewers a day. Her website boasts 2.3 million unique visitors a month. Her magazine, newsletter and the Oprah Alert e-mails reach another 4 million Americans although they are obviously redundancies from the aforementioned groups.

She plans to yield her sprawling 42 acre property presumptuously called “The Promised Land” to the fund raising efforts of the Obama campaign. By some estimates she may be able to raise somewhere between 3 and 5 million dollars for Barack’s race for the White House. She indicated that it may not end there and that she may sponsor and produce ads for Obama.

Oprah’s endorsement for the Obama campaign slips out from under the “equal time” rules of the FCC because the rules do not apply to news programs, documentaries or interview shows in which a single candidate is the only focus point of the show.

Republican lawyers will want to take a closer look at these laws now since Matthew Mosk of the Washington Post reported in Houston’s Chronicle’s online site September 6 2007 that in an audio forum aired recently Oprah said “the Obama’s will be her only political guests.”

That Oprah could sway a huge contingent of folks is not in dispute. Phil Rosenthal said in the Chicago Tribune Web Edition September 7, 2007 “The Oprah brand is undeniably a powerful thing. Most TV shows have an audience. She has a congregation.”

That her influence can beat the heretofore 0/0 record of celebrity influence to pull a presidential race over the finish line is in question.

Two remaining questions will plague her effort and have begun already.

The first is the Ross Perot kind of vote sucking that pulled George H. W. Bush from office and gave Bill Clinton the necessary margin to step in. The heat will be felt first in Hillary’s camp and the whole Democratic machine will suffer from the schism. Votes gleaned from Hillary can only translate into votes garnered for the GOP candidates. The only question is how many?

The second question has to do with evangelical Christians from either party. To many believers Oprah is less gilded and more Hollywood chrome plated. The snafu with James Frey’s “A Million Little Pieces,” giving away cars on prime time and helping kids in Africa while ignoring our own youth do not get her any points with Christian conservatives.

To the more discerning and biblically well read among the evangelicals the nature and message of Oprah’s much touted “The Secret” authored by Rhonda Byrne falls under the category of more prosperity gospel hype. This book is a clarion call to all who want to feel good, self affirm and get rich. Nothing new here, appealing to what everybody already wants is no secret.

Neither The Secret nor the rest of the prosperity gospel hype Christianity is now plagued with comes with a disclaimer but if the fine print were included it would read like this. In case of a stock market crash and or an entire economic crash the shelf life of these claims is limited to one week…maybe.

It is also no secret that Obama stands in full opposition to the repeal of Roe V Wade and is openly endorsing gay marriage. By association this is Oprah’s stand as well and it will take more than her fifteen minutes of fame to sway over two hundred years of American faith in the sanctity of life and a reasonable national morality. America doesn’t need a doctrine that sways in every new wind that blows across the fruited plains.

In the mean time Obama’s got Oprah, Edwards has got labor, Thompsons’ just got started and Keyes has almost got drafted. Keyes? Yes if you’re truly conservative then you might want to take a look at Dr. Alan Keyes who is seeing a growing number of Americans interested in getting him petitioned into the race. Dr. Keyes is the founder of the grassroots Renew America movement that appeals to both young and old across both red and blue states.

Those who are concerned about our headlong rush into everything pop culture oriented are not as likely to be swayed by TV’s currently reigning female deity. Conservatives may not be able to get the entire nation to return to higher values in Toto but they are not going to give up hard won ground without a serious fight.

The days when pioneers and plainsmen struggled just to survive may have long since passed but those roots will not be pulled up willingly or easily by mainstream Americans.

Conservatives will have to choose carefully, stump ferociously and stand up and be counted to pull this one off. It does well to remember that holding the line may not seem very illustrious in a world of marvelous new changes but no orderly change is possible in a world that has fallen into confusion.

I have used the positive energy technique way before any of that came out and it has always worked for me. I am glad the secret has become more mainstream and hey even if 10% of the people try positive thinking there lives will be better in many ways. I personnally don’t try to control the outcome to every last detail because there could be something better that I did not think of and would not see it if I was so focused on one goal, so I try to be more open to what ever positive comes my way and work with what I can and stay positive and pray for the best.Plus lets say that someone doesn’t get exactly what they had pictured, then they would be upset and not keep trying or they may have missed a better opurtunity

Authorities begin a massive search for Rhonda, but her ex-husband, Miles Flint, is conducting his own investigation. And every trail leads back to Aleyd and the old crime that could change Talia’s life forever.

This is another engrossing chapter for fans.

It can stand alone but if you want a better understanding of the world and the character of Miles Flint start at beginning. Rusch is a great storyteller with the ability to hold a reader’s attention from start to finish. Miles plays a smaller role in this book but we find out more about why he became a retrieval artist. All the characters are well drawn and have frailties and flaws that make them believable. The scientific theory is credible and the settings feel real. I highly recommend the series.
