Question by ella.: What happens usually if you slip into a coma after a brain aneurysm?
My mom had a brain aneurysm Monday night, they clipped it, then she slipped into a coma on Wednesday. No body will really tell me anything that’s happening. How bad is it?
I know that the coma wasn’t induced.
Honestly-They clipped it to stop the blood flow.

And thanks for the answers.

Its a very serious condition, the doctors may have induced the coma to keep her brain from swelling. Will any adult family member talk to you about this? I feel you need to know exactly what is going on and I know you must be extremely upset.

Just say your prayer that she will recover soon.

  1. Stefan says:

Oh Ella I hope everything is okay :) love from Wales.

  2. HONESTLY says:

“A brain aneurysm, also called a cerebral or intracranial aneurysm, is an abnormal bulging outward of one of the arteries in the brain. It is estimated that up to one in 15 people in the United States will develop a brain aneurysm during their lifetime.
Brain aneurysms are often discovered when they rupture, causing bleeding into the brain or the space closely surrounding the brain called the subarachnoid space, causing a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Subarachnoid hemorrhage from a ruptured brain aneurysm can lead to a hemorrhagic stroke, brain damage and death.”

TBH, it doesnt sound like the best thing in the world. By “clipped it” do you mean got rid of it? if thats what you mean, the coma is probably for the recovery. I hope everything is ok.
