Question by bluemew88888: why do christians still believe its wrong to be gay?
why do christians still believe its wrong to be gay?
when here are the facts

adam & eve procreation myth adam and eve was not put on earth to populate it adam first then eve to help him was put in te garden to take care of the garden procreation and death was the result of adam and eve’s sin disobeying and not repenting to God.

sodom and gomorrah: they were not destroyed because of homosexuality the attemped gang rape of the angels by hetrosexual men was just the last straw God had already decided to destroy sodom before that happend the sin of sodom is clearly stated in Ezekiel bhold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom, pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

levit 18:22 and 20:13… this is the jewish holiness code the law of moses it is no longer in effect.it was in effect from 1450 bc till the moment Jesus died. also it was never meant for us gentiles (non jews)

1st timothy and 1st corinthians the list of people who wont enter into heaven the last two words in greek are malikoi and arsenokoitia wich means the temple prostitutes and ther customers.

romans1:23-27 this is talking about the temple priest and priestesses who worshiped the fire god molech mentioned in lev. and the fertility goddess ashtoreth and other gods like wiccan and egyptian and greek gods. thats why if you read before that verse it says they turned the uncorruptable image of God into that of man and birds and four footed beast

also there is the great love story of johnathan and david and even saul reconized their relationship as sexual basicly calling him a stupid sob that chose david to his own shame and confusion and the shame of his mothers nakedness and when you read the lev laws uncovering someones nakedness is an euphamism for sex.

then there is the first man who Jesus healed “a centurions beloved pias the word pias translated sevant in the bible is a word to describe the younger man in a same sex relationship thats what people of that time understood pias to mean

daniel was brought in to favor and tender love of ashpenaz the prince of the eunuchs

a BORN eunuch from there mothers womb could still procreate and was not deformed in anyway they was born with no attraction to the opposite sex also they are not bound to the adam and eve marriage paradym

and finally the song of songs now called song of solomon it is mistranslated in most bibles now but it was a love poem by david’s grandson ,solomons son, asher to a shepard soldier named caleh also a male

  2. DrLove says:

because “god” said its wrong to be gay so they just follow what he says.

church folks are cute and cuddly, and your question is way too long to read right now.

    One:The bible says so.

Two:Most(XTIANS) believe it is a choice.

  5. PaulCyp says:

Because God said so repeatedly, and Christians follow the Word of God.

  6. mahlon says:

Those who do evidently believe God makes mistakes and they feel obligated to point it out to Him.

  7. SmileyFace says:

It is in the bible. If the bible didn’t tell us why it is wrong, we probably would have supported the gays, but the bible is never wrong and it is the truth.

  8. Justin says:

well first off you have to prove to me the Bible is right and Jesus ever walked this Earth.

when you prove it let me know………………

    Depends on the person.
    Adam and Eve AND Steve.
    (Bi) (hetero) (gay)
Steve was left behind because he was the only one who didn’t eat the forbidden fruit.

Because they (and feminists, for that matter) have yet to accept the biological facts about men, women and what happens when biology (or nature or god or the universe) makes something in between with several variations.

  14. Dark Angel says:

Your question is rather general in its assumption that Christians believe it is wrong to be gay. It would have been better to ask why “some” Christians believe it is wrong to be gay. Not all Christians should be grouped together in order to exaggerate a point.

  15. Nick says:

Because they’re still stuck in the 1st Century. They haven’t evolved with the rest of us bc they don’t believe in evolution. lol

    tl;dr

  17. Run Squad says:

you’re so called “facts” are so jumbled up with crap and misinformed “information” that i just stopped reading after a while.

simple explanation: it just doesn’t fit. it’s not marriage if it’s not between a man and woman — if its same sex, then by “marriage” they mean “sexual friendship.”

try to screw in a nail with only two nails and no screwdriver; or with only two screwdrivers and no nails. you won’t get very far. you need one nail and one screwdriver to get the product. you need one female and one male to get the baby. the purpose of marriage is to reproduce in a loving family. you can’t do that in a sexual same-sex friendship. it’s just wrong.

  18. Just Me says:

“Do you not know that the wicked
will not inherit the kingdom of God?
    Do not be deceived:
    Neither the sexually immoral
    nor idolaters
    nor adulterers
    nor male prostitutes
    nor homosexual offenders <—-
    nor thieves
    nor the greedy
    nor drunkards
    nor slanderers
    nor swindlers
will inherit the kingdom of God”
    (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

    “But the cowardly,
    unbelieving,
    abominable,
    murderers,
    sexually immoral, <—
    sorcerers,
    idolaters,
    and all liars
shall have their part in the lake
which burns with fire and brimstone,
    which is the second death.”
    (Revelation 21:8)

  19. superb9006 says:

I only had to read what you said about Adam and Eve to know you are Bible illiterate. Genesis says that God made Eve as a help meet for Adam. A rough translation of help meet is completer. Someone for Adam to procreate with. God’s natural design. The rest of your post is probably copied and pasted from someone else that is just as illiterate to the Bible.

  20. Tim says:

I am a christian, and I have no problem with people being gay. I think your question is kind of a big assumption. Your question is really amazing because you are basically judging Christians by asking why Christians judge people. Do you see the irony in this?

  21. DEE says:

Wow, you really put thought into this. Christians believe it is wrong because a man and a woman were put on earth first. Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve… Sorry Buddy. But religion is what religion is. It is made to control the masses. Either you follow or you don’t follow. Always remember that religion is a choice.

  22. Severus8 says:

Is not gays that the church has a problem with. Is homosexual-ism that became the issue. Listen I love all people but it has to be called. Gay is not a bad thing. Homosexuals or sodomites are the ones who affect nature. It is proven that oral/anal sex whether with a woman or a man is unhealthy. Plenty of people end in an er because of something gone wrong with alternative sexual practices. The Bible does encourage to love one another and to welcome all with joy which is what gay really is. As far as all that biblical evidence you are trying to bring, noly the stuff concerning king David holds weight. The rest is just commentary made 200 some odd years ago and believe this that the same gos of the israelites is the god of the gentiles and all that is demanded of the jews is demanded of us as well.

  23. Kia says:

Because they are religious homophobic idiots and they can’t just butt out of other people’s business.
The bible is a collection of old stories it isn’t meant to be interpreted as more than your average children’s story. They are meant to teach and nothing more. Its the closed minded idiots who think it’s wrong.

I say live and let live!

  24. Jean R says:

You have brought out some very good points.
Most Christians believe the bible is the infallible, literal word of God. However, it is not. It is the INSPIRED word of God. God gave the scribes the urge to write and but they did not write down verbatim the words of God. Before they were written down, they were stories passed down through the generations by word of mouth….surely they erred in the retelling many times. And some are stories that other religions and pagans claimed also. They were imperfect men and through the years more imperfect priests and scribes translated the Bible. Before printing presses, everything was written out by hand. Translated words have several different meanings and people have chosen the meaning that THEY want to uses to interpret them.
So imperfect men have Copied and copied the Bible by hand, taken it from the original Aramaic and interpreted it the way they want, translating it into hundred of languages where, again, They used their own interpretation of meanings in THAT language.
A great many errors have been made, but the basic theme of ” Christ is God’s Son who died on the cross and rose again and ascended into heaven and will return” has never changed and never will.

  25. ♪Jackie Blue♪ says:

Adam and Eve were created not only to till the land, but so the lineage of Christ would come through Eve, who is called in the bible, ‘the mother of all living.’ Satan tempting Eve by seducing her, (expateo, meaning wholly seduce,) and then she offering Adam the same fruit, which as I stated, was Satan himself, was not God’s plan. Adam defiled himself by having relations with Satan. God created things natural. If he intended for man to be with man, he would not have created woman. Eve’s womb, from umbilical cord to umbilical cord would bring forth the Savior, Jesus Christ. God did not create sin. Satan brought forth sin.

Genesis 9:20-25 tells us, “Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard. When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father’s nakedness and told his two brothers outside. But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father’s nakedness. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father’s nakedness. When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, he said, “Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers.” Noah’s nakedness was his wife, not himself. Ham slept with his mother, which was his father’s nakedness. Buy a Strong’s concordance so you get the facts correct.

It is good though that you have taken time to open the bible even though you have drawn conclusions that are not misleading. Keep studying in the Word of God and pray God will lead you to proper studying with the proper biblical tools you need in order to get to the truth that is in context and correct.

  26. BJ Freeman sic itur ad astra says:

my friend you try too hard.
all the man to man references were heterosexual man performing Pagan rites.
There is nothing in the original Scriptures that even hint of man attraction to man.
if you get past the Greek translations and read the Aramaic (not the peshitta) it has a different view.
Also note that the only Gospel written during Jesus time was Thomas. Thomas was one of the 12 disciples. Luckily the Orthodox church did not effect the Gospel of Thomas but tried to eradicate it as a heretical work.
Mark use Thomas and Mathew and Luke used mark.
