why do some christians believe being gay is a sin even when you show them its not?

adam & eve procreation myth adam and eve was not put on earth to populate it adam first then eve to help him was put in the garden to take care of the garden procreation and death was the result of adam and eve’s sin disobeying and not repenting to God.

sodom and gomorrah: they were not destroyed because of homosexuality the attemped gang rape of the angels by hetrosexual men was just the last straw God had already decided to destroy sodom before that happend the sin of sodom is clearly stated in Ezekiel bhold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom, pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

levit 18:22 and 20:13… this is the jewish holiness code the law of moses it is no longer in effect.it was in effect from 1450 bc till the moment Jesus died. also it was never meant for us gentiles (non jews)

1st timothy and 1st corinthians the list of people who wont enter into heaven the last two words in greek are malikoi and arsenokoitia wich means the temple prostitutes and ther customers.

romans1:23-27 this is talking about the temple priest and priestesses who worshiped the fire god molech mentioned in lev. and the fertility goddess ashtoreth and other gods like wiccan and egyptian and greek gods. thats why if you read before that verse it says they turned the uncorruptable image of God into that of man and birds and four footed beast

also there is the great love story of johnathan and david and even saul reconized their relationship as sexual basicly calling him a stupid sob that chose david to his own shame and confusion and the shame of his mothers nakedness and when you read the lev laws uncovering someones nakedness is an euphamism for sex.

then there is the first man who Jesus healed “a centurions beloved pias the word pias translated sevant in the bible is a word to describe the younger man in a same sex relationship thats what people of that time understood pias to mean

daniel was brought in to favor and tender love of ashpenaz the prince of the eunuchs

a BORN eunuch from there mothers womb could still procreate and was not deformed in anyway they was born with no attraction to the opposite sex also they are not bound to the adam and eve marriage paradym

and finally the song of songs now called song of solomon it is mistranslated in most bibles now but it was a love poem by david’s grandson ,solomons son, asher to a shepard soldier named caleh also a male

  1. Bob says:

Because Christians are dumb and no one cares about what they think.

  2. Clint says:

Genesis 2:24 gave us the basic plans of marriage. It says, Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Sex was meant to be between husband and wife, to show affection and love for one another, and to procreate. Jesus Christ Himself referred to Genesis 2:24 as the blueprint for marriage when He said, “Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” (Matthew 19:4-6)

Romans 1:20-27 isn’t speaking about those who worship false gods. No, it’s saying that homosexuality is a result of exchanging the truth of God for a lie, for suppressing the truth.

“But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may [know] them.” — Genesis 19:4-5

Some theorists believe that Genesis 19:4-5 is refers to the town’s people thinking that the angels were spies, and wanted nothing more than to interrogate them. But what does it really mean by “that we may know them?” At first glance, one would think it means “to become acquainted with”; however, according to The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, published by the Houghton Mifflin Company, the term “know” has more than just one meaning. In fact, it tells us that the archaic definition of the word “know” is to “have sexual intercourse with.” We know this to be correct by looking at previous passages, such as Genesis 4:1, which says, “And Adam [knew] Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.”

There are many that do believe, as well as teach that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of a mere attempt to rape two angels that entered into the city gates. However, it was not because of an attempt of rape on angels that caused the city to be destroyed, simply because before the angels were sent, before they were even “threatened with gang rape” as you put it, God had already foretold Abraham of the judgment that was to come upon these cities, and it is because of this one factor that this teaching is disproved. The angels were sent after the decision to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, solely to warn Lot and his family of the things to come.

“Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.” – Ezekiel 16:49-50

Some will cite Ezekiel 16:49-50 in defense of homosexuality as being ordained by God; however, if we look further into scripture, such as Jude 1:7, it will also tell us, “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

It is clear that the sins of Sodom were plentiful, there’s no argument to that. But it’s important to realize, not only did Sodom suffer from pride, laziness, and greed, but also fornication, and going after “strange flesh,” otherwise, unnatural sex.

Stop trying to justify your sin, and even more so, trying to justify it with scripture. It just doesn’t happen unless you give it a nice hard twist.

    that is really gay

  4. Lithobid. says:

    Ignorance.

  5. PaulCyp says:

You think the fact that a biblical story is about homosexuals equals approval of homosexuality? There are biblical stories about murder too. What’s your point?

  6. gertystorrud says:

Why do you continue to Justify SIN?? God said it is WRONG!! Romans 1:18-32. Period.

  7. Spice Boy says:

It doesnt matter what i think .. what i know is ‘male and female created He them’ … not Adam and Steve … Adam and Eve … get it .. girl + boy = baby … sodomization is a confusion of that which is normal ..

  8. Christian Here says:

Why do you keep asking this!? The Bible even says homosexuals won’t inherit the kingdom of God! Have you even read the Bible!? 1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites. Various other places in the Bible say this.

  9. Quixotic says:

    Retarded is as retarded does.

  10. sunny says:

hahahahahahahahahaahahahahaha…….oh please. How warped can you be. Twisted sister has nothing on you.

  11. Lady Wildcat says:

First of all, Christianity does not teach that being of a homosexual orientation is sinful. Only actions can be sinful — an inclination to commit them is not.

So, “being” gay is not sinful. Committing homosexual ACTS is. There’s a difference.

As for the acts … you can spin it however you want, and you can skate on spiritual thin ice by looking for “loopholes” in the Bible.

But such hemming and hawing doesn’t detract from the fact that the Bible clearly condemns homosexual behavior — not just once, but several times.

And not just in the Old Testament, but also in the New. Which means that it’s on a different plane than, say, the OT condemnation of eating shellfish — something that the NT makes absolutely no comment on.

  12. Evangelist Paul says:

That was probably the most pathetic job of misquoting the Bible I have ever seen.

The Biblical truth is, homosexuality is a sin, both in the old testament, and new testament. It is completely against nature itself, and every place you pointed out in the Bible, clearly speaks against this lifestyle.

Adam and Eve’s command of the Lord was to “go forth and multiply and fill the earth”. That would be pretty hard to do if God had intended them to be gay.

And, since God only created one man, and one woman, it’s pretty obvious what God had in mind.

So, you can misinterpret the Bible all you want, and deny it all you want, but that will not change the truth.

  13. yesmar says:

Well, I appreciate your take on those scriptures, but the main consensus of theologians and bible experts alike still insists the contrary. The homosexual lifestyle is wrong because the bible says so. The marriage union is God ordained and limited to one man and one woman. There is no way around that fact. Sex outside of said marriage is forbidden. Thanks for sharing neighbor.

  14. Rev. T says:

Even without what you sited, Jesus died for our sins, that includes homosexual sin. But most if not all preachers, not just Christian, but also islamic and several other religions say it is a sin, even Evolutionist say it is unproductive because of natural selection.

But personally I believe Jesus died for our sins, all of them, it doesn’t matter if we are born homosexual, or hetrosexual, it doesn’t matter because God loves us know matter what and he understands being born a certain way or having an addiction (like some claim homosexuality is).

The biggest and only unforgivable sin is the sin of denying Jesus Christ as your savior and Lord.

  15. xx.ALLiE.KiSSES.xx says:

Please. I don’t think being gay is a sin. I know gay people, and they are some of the nicest people I know. The Bible has all sorts of outdated rules and laws in the Old Testament; they were put into place by God to protect his people, since they didn’t know about bacteria and stuff back then. Hence the rules about kosher foods and such. But no, I personally don’t think there’s anything wrong with being gay. Polyester is unnatural, and people have learned to accept that. :)

  16. Elmo_Caron says:

Don’t forget, these people believe the earth was created 4000 years ago. That’s what the book says!

  17. robinmcr46 says:

I know being gay is a sin because GOD said it so if he said it’s wrong how the heck are you going to try to make it something that’s right?it’s no way in this world or the next one you can ever make anything that GOD said is wrong right. Not today, next week next year or ever will you go over the most HIGH GOD”S head.If he killed a whole city for it then what do you think he going to do to gay people exactly what he promised unless they REPENT.

  18. iWeed says:

I know exactly what you mean!

I am a Christadelphian, and I also discovered that, in the original word of the Bible, what many Christian Brothers and Sisters use to condemn homosexuality from the Bible simply doesn’t stand the test of the original word. What gets me is, we’re told to follow the Bible in it’s original form, and yet when we use the original form of the Bible on things Christians don’t agree on, you’re accused of being wrong!

It’s not as though many of us who argue this are doing so simply to break a group of people into the Christian community. We’re doing to to please God in Heaven! We’re doing it because this is what God really said!

You should let them to their ways: they have erroneous beliefs, as you see. Join up with “Liberal” Christians, it’s likely what I’ll end up doing.

  19. rev.docholiday says:

Leviticus 18: 22 ” Do not practice homosexuality: it is a detestable sin” NLT
Romans: 1: 27 “and the men instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. men did shameful things with other men and as a result, suffrered within themselves the penalty they so richly deserved.

  20. Sandra B says:

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (New Century Version)

9-10 Surely you know that the people who do wrong will not inherit God’s kingdom. Do not be fooled. Those who sin sexually, worship idols, take part in adultery, those who are male prostitutes, or men who have sexual relations with other men, those who steal, are greedy, get drunk, lie about others, or rob—these people will not inherit God’s kingdom.

Yes, this does include the prostitutes and the people who have sex with the prostitutes, but it also includes the men who have sex with other men.

But this is the verse that I live by.

36 “Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?”

37 Jesus answered, ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and most important command.39 And the second command is like the first: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’[b] 40 All the law and the writings of the prophets depend on these two commands.”

    Which is repeated
    Luke 10:25-28 (New Century Version)

    The Good Samaritan
25 Then an expert on the law stood up to test Jesus, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to get life forever?”
26 Jesus said, “What is written in the law? What do you read there?”

27 The man answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.”[a] Also, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”[b]

28 Jesus said to him, “Your answer is right. Do this and you will live.”

  21. The Branch says:

funny how all these male preachers preach against homosexuals and turn right around and claim to be the bride of christ.
