Question by Scott: Where can I buy an American football in Beijing?
NFL is running ads on the subway, *trying* to get an exhibition game here, and organizing flag football leagues in an apparent attempt to get Chinese people interested (wanting to cash in on the NBA’s immense popularity), but shouldn’t putting a ball in the hands of the people be step 1?

Virtually all American footballs are MADE in China, so where can I buy one in Beijing before they put it on the boat?

here is your problem, most american footballs are Made in China, but they are shipped to U.S. where American football is interested by the people over there. Most of the Chinese people grown up here in U.S. I talk to aren’t very interested in football because they simply don’t understand the rules. With that being said, I have a feeling that Chinese people in China will have no interest in football simply because there is no one representing them in the NFL comparing to that of Yao in NBA.

You will probably find …a football to buy somewhere in Beijing, but I doubt it….

I mean c’mon, the Super Bowl is the biggest and greatest thing ever and football is the most exciting sport ever, it has so much excitement and coolness just look at the 250lb manly monsters with big biceps and they all pound each other hard, why do foreigners think its boring?
