What is your inspiration when writing stories?

Question by The Question Samurai!!! Lv.5: What is your inspiration when writing stories?
I have been off my writing game for a while now and now that getting back on it, I am just curious to see how others get their inspiration when writing fiction stories. For me, it is music. After listening to a good song, I can picture the scene clear as day. Also watching a real good tv show or movie. So what is your inspiration when it comes to writing stories.

same here listening to music and watching a good movie help but i find that my story itself inspires me. just writing and thinking of ways that my characters can get out of a situation man its almost like my story writes its self im just there to witness
