I dont think a person can actually have an adults mentality till the mid 20′s thats when the brain sees it.I think 21 is too young to be called a grown man or a grown woman when your brain is still developing.YOu cant rent a car till 25 cause of this and I have even heard people talking about a drinking age of 25.Health care extends to age 26.

You’re not, at 21 you’re still a kid….but if we can send a kid to fight a war at 18, I have no problem leaving things as they are, its subjective, some are mature at that age, most aren’t.

how about: some people are mature others are idiots. Why not forget the age restrictions in the first place. Are you a grown up just because you are in government? No way, more like a corrupt dirt bag.So why should they decide?
What makes you think the brain doesn’t reach “adult levels” until the mid 20′s? If you’re referring to cognitive abilities, that’s just not true.
Raise the voting age to 26 and driving age to 21 while you are at it.

Actually, the brain doesn’t fully mature until about 30. MEDICAL FACT.
The government just wants to be able to fully tax you at 18 and hold you criminally responsible for your actions.
